He is Al-Mustafa, the chosen one, the beloved.
Who revealed to me to be loved.
To embody hope, to spread positivity and to always smile.
Within his traditions, depicted in every stride, at any given time I lost had my way, I envisioned to walk in his footsteps and I was found.
He is the crest of nobility, the diadem of creation but his sandal is my crown
He is that very light that engulfs my abyss until I was drowned.
And only then, I could finally breathe.
And with my first gasp of breath,
I bear witness that he is the witness.
With that radiant smile, casting a shadow upon the sun.
Who called back the sun.
The rising sun of majestic secrets.
The luminous lamp.
Brighter than the moon,
More beautiful than the moon,
The one who split the moon but reattached my broken heart.
The one I yearn to be with and never be apart.
The one whose name sparks truth and silences every uncertainty within my soul.
The reason why I am a cartographer within these words.
Which each degree my pen turns,
I return, guided back to the epitome of actuality.
He is the primordial prophet.
The one who will praise the Most Compassionate like no other on that day of promise.
I lived in this cave of hope to be proximate to the first of the two.
He is my master.
The upholder of righteousness, the walking thirty chapters.
The one who ascended passed the lote.
Abul Qasimﷺ , Ta-Ha ﷺ and Yaseen ﷺ
See, he is the best of mankind
My glory is reciting his praise and being of his community is my pride.
And I take pride and prominence, that he is my prophet- who responded to the call of the Most Merciful and fulfilled the covenant.
And I swear an oath,.
He is the precious ruby of pre-eternity,
The magnificent emerald of existence,
And the sovereign diamond of everlasting life
He is the only treasure required in my chest.
I am led by the leader of God-conscious folk and the prophetic cavalry.
The mystery of mysteries of the axiomatic attribute of the absolute.
I do not require proofn
He is the man, As-Sadiq al-Ameen, the extinguisher of lies…

Asim the Poet is an award-winning spoken word artist, author, host and singer from Leicester, UK.

Featured nationally, he delivers a wide range of topics from hard-hitting stories, to light-hearted poems and motivational talks. He is heavily rooted in traditional Islamic poetry, as he had begun his journey in delivering contemporary, devotional works and continues to encourage the messages of faith, love and hope.

Asim has featured across various media formats including film, literature and radio as well as multiple stages across the world including BBC Radio 4, FloVortex, Winterspring Mawlid, Somerset House and many more.

To mention a few of his accolades: he was inducted as a FloPoet in 2019, launched his first book: “Yours Sincerely, Asim” in late 2021, and was awarded “Best Male Spoken Word Poet” by the Wordplay and Flow initiative in 2023.

He also hosts weekly Arabic praise poetry circles, as part of Nasheed’s group “As Salikoon”, which has been ongoing for more than 20 years.

He is currently working on further devotional spoken word videos, performing nationally in the UK and working on many other exciting projects.
